This week I learned that I really don't like spending a lot of time on Facebook, but it did take the place of the newspaper for me. I wonder if it has for many other people. I like to read the funny little posts about absolutely nothing that still make me laugh. I also love to check out the photos that my friends and family post. It appears that my friends and family like the same thing, since they didn't respond to my links that contained good information, but did contain more than one sentence.
I found that there are many tools available to use. Privacy tools, marketing tools, and tracking tools are just a few tools available. Professor Joe was able to tell us that there are better days than others to post to maximize our messages.
Finally, I learned that most of the class is concerned about privacy, as is a large portion of the population. Many of us believe it is the responsibility of the individual to control personal information. Some of us believe the tools we use should help us keep our information safe. I believe the truth of this lies somewhere in between.
Picture of my first meeting with my biological family. I didn't tell you all that the second most amazing thing was that I looked like people for the first time in my life. If you never had that before, you have no idea what a gift that is.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your summary of what we learned this week with the study of Facebook. I have to agree with you that privacy concerns was the largest concerns within our group.
I can only imagine how good you must have felt to find something that is familiar and makes you comfortable. I share in your joy and only wish you and your family the best!
